What is Cacao?

Cacao (Chocolate in it's rawest, purest form), often referred to as the "food of the gods," holds a rich cultural and historical significance across various civilisations. Derived from the Theobroma cacao tree's seeds, cacao has been consumed for centuries, valued not only for its rich flavour but also for its numerous health benefits and ceremonial importance.

The tradition of drinking cacao originates from ancient Mesoamerican civilizations, who revered cacao as a sacred plant with potent medicinal and spiritual properties. Cacao was used in healing rituals, spiritual ceremonies, and as a currency due to its esteemed value.

Cacao is believed to have mystical qualities, capable of opening the heart and connecting individuals to higher realms of consciousness. The revered drink was often consumed during sacred ceremonies to facilitate spiritual communion, foster emotional well-being, and promote inner harmony.

Cacao's heart-opening properties are attributed to its rich content of various compounds, including flavonoids, theobromine, and phenylethylamine (PEA). These compounds are believed to stimulate the release of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which contribute to feelings of pleasure, happiness, and emotional bonding. Additionally, cacao contains anandamide, often referred to as the "bliss molecule," which can induce feelings of euphoria and relaxation.

Beyond its ceremonial and spiritual significance, cacao boasts an array of health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, cacao helps combat oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and support cardiovascular health. Consuming ceremonial grade cacao in its pure form, has been linked to improved cognitive function, enhanced mood, and reduced risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.

Together we will gather first in a circle to enjoy a cup of ceremonial-grade cacao in a sacred setting, accompanied by guided meditation, breathwork, and confidence enhancing exercises to promote emotional healing, self-discovery, and personal growth.

Spaces are limited to 15

Please Read - Health Concerns:

Cacao contains Theobromine, which can naturally stimulate the system similarly to the way caffeine does. If have have a heart condition or are highly sensitive to caffeine, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss adjusting the dosage for you or I can offer a Cacao herbal tea which has significanly less caffine. Please inform me as soon as possible of any heart medications you're taking before booking.

Also if you are in your first pregnancy trimester, please refrain from having cacao until in later traimesters.

Workshop Preperation: Please do not drink caffeine on the ceremony day, and please have breakfast but fast during lunch. This will help your system embody the Cacao and prepare your heart to recieve the beautiful nudges of wisdom that may come through. I suggest eating 2-3hrs before the ceremony.
